Wes Farmer’s Market

22 Sep

Wesleyan will be having Farmer’s Markets in front of Usdan, by North college, every Wednesday from 11-2 until the weather gets too cold for it.

If you’re using cash to pay for food, the Farmer’s Market is a good place to get local produce, bread, cheese, honey, etc. for relatively cheap.  (I never understood what the point was for students, though, as there’s way more financial incentive to just use Wesmoney at Weshop.)  Yesterday’s market was a bit underwhelming, but I’m hoping that’s just because it was the first one.  Auntie Arwen’s, the bread vendor, cheese people, and most of the regulars were mysteriously absent.  But the enormous veggie and mozzarella sandwiches were good, as was the music (seriously, the music was the best part).  I also picked up a pint of miniature pears for $3–they are adorable.
