Frozen Lime Pie

The coldest and greenest pie you’ll ever eat.


Prep: 5-15 minutes

Freeze: Overnight

Makes: a whole pie


(This is the recipe for a homemade crust.  Store bought wafer or graham crusts are about as good if you’d prefer to use one of those.)

  • 1.5 cups of graham or vanilla wafer crumbs
  • 1/4 cup butter
  1. Combine these and spread them along a metal pie pan to form a crust
  2. Bake for 10 minutes at 350 degrees.

  • 1 can evaporated milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 package of lime jell-o
  • juice of 1 lime (or 1/4 cup)
  1. In a mixing bowl, beat the milk until it’s foamy.
  2. Mix in the sugar and jell-o.  Add the juice and beat.
  3. Pour into crust.
  4. Allow to freeze overnight or for approximately 8 hours.
  5. EAT!
